Welcome to Harrogate Fencing Club
The EPEE and FOIL are the weapons used at the Club.
We meet at the Harrogate High School, Ainsty Road, Harrogate each Wednesday evening (term time only). Male and female members aged from 7yrs onwards. We have a selection of weapons, clothing and masks which can be used when attending the training sessions. Training sessions start with a warm up and footwork. Complete beginners are taught the skills of fencing in small groups.Novice, Intermediate and Advanced fencers continue with quality training bouts. Please note we have changed halls at Harrogate High School. As you approach the front of the school the Swimming pool is the first building, turn right across the front of this building and into a small enclosed car park. The hall is on the right hand side facing you.
Juniors 7pm to 8pm. - £4.00p per session Seniors 8pm to 9.30pm. £4.00p
Beginners Courses The fencing beginners courses will start on Wednesday 10th September 2008.and will run until the Christmas break. Juniors start at 7pm. Please try to come 10minutes early. Seniors start at 8pm ( again please come 10minutes early.) All equipment will be provided. Please wear trainers and high waisted tracksuit bottoms. If you are interested in a fencing course please download an application form and post it to Kate Elvin or email for further details. Fencing Clothing Regulations from 1st January 2006 From January new regulations regarding fencing clothing come into effect. These regulations stipulate:

regulations will apply to All training sessions, Club
nights and Competitions.
Should a fencer be injured while not wearing approved kit, any Insurance held by the fencer or the Club will be invalidated. These regulations are being introduced to increase the safety of Fencing and therefore are to be welcomed.
