Brian has been one of the countries top coaches at both foil and epee for many years and is a British Academy of Fencing Coach and level 3 epee coach. He is also our Life President and he has coached numerous fencers to Olympic and international standard in addition to pentathletes and wheelchair fencers. Brain retired from the weekly running of the fencing club in April 2011 but continues to coach elite fencers and pentathletes at the club.

Kate is involved in all aspects of the fencing club ensuring it runs smoothly and continues to attract the regions top fencers. Kate has many years fencing experience and is a current international epeeist. Kate has won a bronze medal in the last World’s and European Veterans Championships . She is a member of the British Academy of Fencing and coaches the junior epee fencers as well as giving individual lessons.

Helen is responsible for all aspects of running the club together with Kate. She has fenced foil for over 30 years at International, National and County level, coaching foil for 25 years to all ages and abilities and is a level 3 foil coach.

Roy is a very accomplished Epee fencer with many years experience of competing at a high level and of coaching young fencers in the county.Roy will be taking our beginner foil courses this year.

Connie is a level 3 foil coach and has been a top ladies foilist and fenced for many years. She runs beginners courses at foil for the club, helps run the advanced junior sessions and gives individual lessons to junior fencers.

Keith has been fencing and coaching foil for 30 years and is the Club’s main armourer maintaining all the clubs electrical equipment and providing armoury assistance to the clubs members,he is also a level 2 foil coach.
